They’re just boobs…
Okay so I’m the first to admit that I’m a little bit of a hippy and tend to have a bit of a liberal view when it comes to nudity and particuarly in the case of art and self expression.
As some of you may know I recently had my first topless photos published on Peter Coulson’s blog. I LOVE these images. I truly believe we have created something beautiful and emotive and different. There is nothing sexual or offensive about them. I am so so happy with them and am happy for people to see what we have created.
The strangest thing I’ve noticed is that some people really seem to have a thing about lady nipples. What’s the big deal? What makes a man’s nipples okay and perfectly socially acceptable but a woman’s nipples are dirty and need to be hidden at all times? This confuses me completely. In a world where cleavage and “side boob” are considered the norm why do we get so funny about NIPPLES?
Baffled…

I agree. I think it might have to do with an old thinking of a woman needs to be protected as the giver of life. You should be allowed to be as topless as a man, especially if a man has moobs.

he he he Christopher you’re too funny. I just think the human body is beatiful. Both the male and female form and should be celebrated. Thank you for reading and commenting. Jessica,

Thank you sweetheart

Unfortunately, it’s a hangover from the male dominated media circus. The more nipples that are shown, in a non-sexual manner, the better. All hail female nipples, for they are the giver of life and food, and are beautiful in all forms.

Awesome to hear Louise, I think we all need to love our bodies and not be ashamed of them like we seem to be taught to be. The human form is beautiful and should be celebrated!

I don’t understand why so many people make a big fuss over nipples. This is part if the human body. More should learn to appreciate the human body as art rather than just sexually. Perfect creation of evolution throughout thousands of years so just hide it.

i think guys just want what they cant have, i think it is important to recognise a womans pleasurable zones as they give that person certain feelings but in saying that when it is nudity for art it is not a time to be thinking sexually

what about mens nipples? are they not similarly sexual?
November 18, 2013 at 12:54 pm
I totally agree with you 😉
Dont keep true beauty (art) hidden
Let ladies flash their nipples out
Us guys do it all the time
Equality for women 🙂

I think it’s really because boobs are sexualized. But my thinking is, legs are sexualized, should they offend us too? Certainly not! Oh no, we’re far too progressive Western World for that.. So whilst I think that if you are offended by the sexualization of the female breast, thats understandable, I am totally against the concept that boobs are something that must be hidden away. And you’re right, it is the nipple we all freak out about.. maybe we can just ignore that its the female breast if we can’t see nipple? Sigh.. xx
Ps: you’re stunning!

Jessica – BRAVO!!! Case in point – please look at my cover pic which I posted lastnight of my stunning girlfriend. The response has been overwhelming support and admiration peppered with the occasional – Why would you show your girlfriend naked??? She must be so upset with you!!! – Truth is, she was going to post it as her cover pic herself and I asked if I could as it was so beautiful. People…geez…wise up.

The issues with female mainly stem with religious groups still having a strong hold in our western broadcasting authorities, and also just like everything else in life, women like to sabotage and discredit other women rather than support them.
Good luck with altering public opinion.

Desperate Housewives spent millions air brushing the nipples out . We are supposed to be so sexually liberated as shown by the media but the media won’t show a nipple. In the 80 s we rarely wore bras to work. Perhaps they just want to sell us armoured bras.

perhaps they do. who knows? it’s a very strange and sales driven world we live in.

The nude body is meant for the person you marry, you sociopath, not to be a cheap whore for the entire world.

Thank you for your opinion. But seeing as we don’t live in the 1930s anymore I’ll do what I want.
The beautiful thing about this day in age is that you are entitled to your view and I am entitled to mine.
Wishing you well.
Jessica.

The patriarchy – men control women and they especially want to control our body. Women are mothers and breasts are holy. They are for breastfeeding. And of course for husbands. To express yourself as you see fitting is a sin and resistance against men. Therefore the nude breast is defiling motherhood and denying husbands their only right to their women’s breast.
The photo is absolutely beautiful! Keep being hippy!
